An identity inspired by traditional Italian design, the Clanin team partnered with Martinelli’s Market Bakery & Deli to create a brand that lives beyond just a website.

From brand messaging development to environmental graphics, everything was designed to offer a beautiful experience that emphasizes family legacies, old-world bread making traditions, and time-honored simple ingredients.

Welcome to Martinelli’s - food as it’s meant to be.

To bring the Martinelli’s brand to life, it was first necessary to identify their brand messaging, core values, and differentiators. With this established, we developed brand mood boards in order to propose a variety of creative design options. Once the mood boards were finalized, it was critical to understand the physical space. How will customers be using the space? How will traffic flow through the space? Using the information, we identified various “zones” during the construction process that allowed us to strategically place messaging and artwork.

During this process, we worked with their leadership team to develop the following brand statements:
