Developing a new roadshow brand.

BRANDING CASE STUDY

Client: Daikin Applied
Capabilities: Branding, Environmental Design, Graphic Design, Tagline Development

Clanin Marketing submitted a Proposal of Services to assist Daikin Applied with an Innovation Roadshow Refresh. The primary purpose of Daikin’s Innovation Roadshow is to provide a mobile unit that travels throughout the United States and demonstrates their high-tech innovative HVAC equipment. As the selected agency, our focus was to visually communicate Daikin as the world’s number one conditioning company through design and content.

From the Scope of Project, Clanin Marketing was tasked with developing three design concepts as part of the Proposal of Services. Once received by Daikin, a final agency would be selected for the entire project. This included the creation of full-scale graphics for the entire exterior of The Roadshow’s semi-tractor trailer, plus all interior graphics to complement the exterior. Based on the information given, we determined that our designs would match their goals to:

1. Visually communicate their theme of “Building Confidence through Air Intelligence”

2. Convey innovation and leadership in the indoor air industry

3. Follow all brand standards for logo use, colors and dimensions

Following Daikin’s comprehensive selection process, Clanin Marketing was awarded the project as the lead creative agency for the 2021-23 Innovation Roadshow Refresh.

Original concept:

The winning theme

Our winning theme for this project was “Changing the World of Indoor Air”. From this, we developed graphics and content to fully encase the exterior of the trailer. This included the creation of the following sub-themes and graphics:

1. Experience the Front Runner in HVAC Innovation

2. Live Comfortably. Live Confidently.

Once the exterior was approved, Clanin Marketing and Daikin worked together on designing the interior of the roadshow. This consisted of floor-to-ceiling graphics, flooring, ceiling design, equipment messaging and technology graphics. As part of the interior, we also added text to graphics highlighting the theme and sub-themes listed above.

Once all graphics were finalized, Clanin Marketing then worked with Daikin’s project team to ensure all deliverables were sized correctly and sent to the proper vendors for application. The completed project included the following:

1. All exterior graphics including front, back and sides

2. All interior graphics including floor design, ceiling graphics, floor to ceiling displays, equipment messaging and technology graphics.

Our team had an incredible time designing every square inch of this traveling roadshow and we can’t wait to see it on the road!
